Noita Hi-Po 289 kuin Shelbyn 289 on penkitetty niin olaan päästy reippasi yli 200 hp, mutta ei yleensä lähellekkään 300 hp:tä.
Mutta tuolla periaaleella mitä esitit pystyy kyllä rakentamaan hyvinkin pirteitä 289 mootoreita. Nykyiset hydraalinokat rittää jo yli 300 hp ja mekaanisilla parhaimmillaan päästään tuonne 500 nurkille.

modified Edelbrock manifolds, under drive race pulleys, 4 Bolt
main lightweight Motorsport blocks to mention a few. All
engines come equipped with their own Cobra Automotive
serialized identification tag for reference and safe record
keeping. Our 289 Cu. In. race engines can range from 400
–535 HP whether it is intended for F.I.A. European racing or an
all out domestic class of competition. Each engine is dyno
tested and tuned for optimum performance so that you rest
assured you will have that edge you need on the track.
This particular engine is sporting our stainless all out race
custom headers.
Prices can vary from $10,000.00-$25,000.00 depending on
your need for speed.
